Location: New York

Our client, a luxury brand, is seeking a Director of Retail to join their team! The ideal candidate must have multi-store experience and will be responsible for driving commercial performance, expanding market presence, and elevating the in-store client experience across all locations

Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute national retail strategy to drive revenue and profitability
  • Own full P&L, including budgeting, forecasting, payroll, and cost control
  • Monitor store performance, analyze KPIs, and implement action plans
  • Lead new store openings and support retail expansion initiatives

    Oversee inventory allocation, assortment strategy, and visual merchandising
  • Ensure operational excellence and brand standard compliance across locations
  • Recruit, develop, and inspire high-performing retail teams
  • Set goals for store managers and lead ongoing performance management
  • Drive CRM strategy, VIP development, and clienteling initiatives
  • Partner with marketing to increase store traffic and measure campaign ROI
Qualifications
  • 8–12+ years of progressive luxury retail experience, including multi-unit leadership
  • Proven full P&L ownership with strong financial acumen (budgeting, forecasting, cost control)
  • Demonstrated success driving sales growth and improving store productivity
  • Experience leading new store openings and retail expansion initiatives
  • Strong background in inventory management, assortment planning, and visual merchandising oversight
  • Ability to analyze KPIs and translate insights into actionable strategies
  • Track record of recruiting, developing, and retaining high-performing retail teams
  • Deep understanding of CRM strategy, clienteling, and VIP development
  • Strong leadership presence with the ability to influence cross‑functional stakeholders
  • Excellent communication skills and experience reporting to executive leadership
  • Strategic mindset with a hands‑on approach to store operations
