NYC Manager of Retail

The Retail Manager will manage the retail areas within the shop, covering front‑of‑house operations, store sales effort, and overall store profitability.

• Serve as a role model for customer‑first behaviors according to company standards.
• Build a team of customer‑focused employees through coaching and measurement.
• Manage Doughnut Ambassador deployment to create a great guest experience.
• Handle customer situations, concerns, and inquiries professionally and in a timely manner.
• Ensure all products meet Krispy Kreme quality standards and conduct store tours.
• Answer telephone calls, utilizing Krispy Kreme greeting procedures.
• Direct and manage store sales efforts, including Hot Light times, retail sales, fundraising and suggestive selling.
• Work with the Management team to achieve business plan objectives and profitability.
• Demonstrate safety consciousness and promote store safety (e.g., shoes, floor cones, MVRs).
• Maintain a high level of store sanitation and cleanliness (cleaning schedules, training).
• Oversee proper upkeep of store facility and equipment.
• Recruit, hire, train and resolve disputes for all shift personnel, including Key Holders.
• Supervise all shift personnel and foster teamwork.
• Assist in communicating store policies, standards, and practices to employees.
• Assist Management in completing and managing income and expense budgets, accounts payable/receivable, profit and loss, and corporate reporting documentation.
• Manage company resources responsibly, including inventory control and other financial duties.
• Protect company assets and model company standards and policies.
• Implement efficiently and effectively directives from store, corporate, and divisional management.
• Develop and maintain store organization to promote efficient operations and interface with corporate office personnel.

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3–5 years management experience in a retail or QSR environment.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Experience with sales, management, production, and customer service.
• Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
• Pleasant disposition, sociable, accommodating, and enthusiastic.
• Self‑motivation, creativity, and adaptability.
• Basic computer, telephone, and fax knowledge.
• Must perform all related competencies outlined in the Krispy Kreme Management Training Workbook.
• Post‑secondary education strongly preferred.

Manager of Retail starting salary is $80,000 per year.
