Responsible for selecting the best products for online shoppers and accurately fulfilling online grocery orders at Hy‑Vee. The role ensures high‑quality selections, friendly customer service, and timely order processing.

• Provide prompt, efficient and friendly customer service, greeting customers in person and over the phone.
• Assist customers by locating items, securing products, loading/unloading heavy items, and addressing customer suggestions.
• Accurately select groceries ordered online, choosing highest quality produce, meat and other fresh items.
• Scan, bag and store products from all temperature zones; maintain proper temperature and quality throughout the process.
• Process customer orders through POS, charge credit cards and manage pickup/stocking logistics.
• Monitor incoming online orders for prompt fulfilment and handle special projects as required.
• Adhere to company policies, store guidelines and safety procedures.

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and friendly professional demeanor.
• Problem‑solving ability with proactive solution development.
• Ability to substitute products for customers upon request or unavailability.
• Well organized, multi‑tasking and able to work independently with limited supervision.

Must be capable of medium physical work, including lifting or carrying objects up to 50 pounds (occasionally) and 25 pounds regularly. Requires frequent standing, walking, and handling of items. Must see detail at near range with or without correction.

The position is performed in a retail store setting. Exposure to dust, noise and temperature extremes may occur. Physical demands include moving equipment and potential electrical shock hazards. Work is fast‑paced with constant pressure to meet deadlines.

• Pallet jack, box cutter, cash registers, trash compactor, forklift, calculator, telephone, intercom, cardboard compactor, copier, fax (within wage and hour guidelines).
