About the Role
As a Department Supervisor, you will be responsible for supporting the Sales and Profit goals in the store by executing a plan to deliver the Best Customer Experience in the department and overall store. The Department Supervisor will work in accordance with legal requirements and H&M standards, policies, and procedures to meet the expectations of customers and colleagues.
A Day in the Life Customer Sales & Profit- Support the total OMNI customer experience, ensuring visual and commercial curation according to global guidelines.
- Represent yourself and the H&M brand positively during customer interactions.
- Identify commercial opportunities and work with your Department Manager to act on them.
- Ensure your team actively promotes and sells products to customers.
- Ensure promotion of our Customer Loyalty App (Hello Member) and in-store sustainability initiatives.
- Maintain correct routines in fitting room and checkout, including transactions, returns and exchanges.
- Handle all administrative routines for both people and operations correctly.
- Keep up-to-date with fashion trends, styles, brands, products, competitors and relevant influencers.
- Ensure your team provides product and fashion knowledge during customer interactions.
- Share knowledge and skills with the store team.
- Collaborate with the in-store Visual Merchandiser team.
- Give and receive feedback to learn, develop, and support each other.
- Communicate regularly with store colleagues to inform, motivate and inspire – daily, weekly meetings, etc.
- Ensure all procedures, routines, and legal requirements in all areas of the store are followed.
- Maintain a clean and tidy sales floor and back-of-house, including stockroom areas.
- Ensure high-quality visual and commercial product presentation with good garment care.
- Secure good stock levels and provide input on allocation to the Area team.
- Ensure the full garment cycle – from delivery to presentation – and fitting room routines follow our standards and internal guidelines.
- Follow best practice for any in-store OMNI Services and in-store tech services/tools (Instore Care App, Click & Collect, Smart Store, etc.).
- Maintain price signs in-store and throughout the sales floor/store per global and local strategies.
- Update and maintain BOH areas for all colleagues (key information, health & safety, tidiness, etc.).
- Be responsible for opening and closing the store daily.
- Emerging leader who enjoys taking responsibility.
- Ambitious, an effective communicator, supportive, an analytical solution finder, capable of working with numbers and managing statistics.
- Achievement-oriented, motivated by performance and competition, and truly customer-centric.
Expected base salary range is $23.57 - $27.36 hourly.
