Location: New York

The Commerce & Retail Media team at Dentsu leads strategy, activation and optimizations for large buy‑side Retail Media clients. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Retail Media Digital/Display Lead to join our team. As Associate Director, you will demonstrate the ability to strategize, plan, optimize and report client marketing campaigns within Amazon, Walmart, Instacart, Target, and Kroger. Experience with in Albertsons, Ahold Delhaize, Criteo, and other retail media networks is a plus!

You will be responsible for leading a team, working directly with clients and vendors, and ensuring the success of multi‑channel campaign initiatives. Your responsibilities will include delivering timely reports, insights, and strategic projects, all while supporting the team in flawless execution and staying within budget.

You Will
  • Develop and oversee the strategy and planning of Digital Retail Media campaigns to meet client objectives.
  • Lead the execution of end‑to‑end campaign management with your display team, including media planning, tagging, trafficking, and reporting. Analyze campaign performance and provide recommendations to drive continuous improvement and optimization opportunities.
  • Assist and attend regularly scheduled client performance and status meetings along with ad‑hoc presentations and requests.
  • Lead and mentor a team of media planners and specialists, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.
  • Foster strong relationships with vendors and partners, serving as the primary point of contact for key retailer and vendor clients, ensuring alignment and satisfaction.
  • Work with our analytics and reporting teams to develop retail performance reports to provide actionable insights and analysis.
  • Collaborate across our client team and within the commerce & retail media organization to solve, innovate, build skills and develop thought leadership and best practices.
Qualifications
  • Must have experience managing digital retail media campaigns either through self‑service or with a managed service retail partner (both a plus).
  • At least 5 years digital performance marketing experience in eCommerce, programmatic, paid social, or related field or 3+ years managing large‑scale, complex eCommerce campaigns.
  • Enthusiasm for retail media and performance marketing, new platforms and the exciting world of eCommerce and emerging platforms. Familiarity with retail media network capabilities, e‑commerce ecosystems and programmatic vendors strongly preferred.
  • Experience managing budgets, forecasting, sending out RFPs, meeting KPIs and developing KPI goals.
  • Experience owning client relationships and guiding the agency to drive incremental value for its partner(s).
  • Strong Excel skills and analytical mindset, with the ability to identify trends and insights through data analysis.
  • Strong personal organizational, communication and prioritization skills with a strong attention to detail.
  • Well‑honed communication skills and working with agility in the rapidly evolving world of Commerce & Retail Media.
  • High levels of integrity, proactiveness, autonomy, and self‑motivation.

The annual salary range for this position is $96,000 - $120,000. Placement within the salary range is based on a variety of factors, including relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and other factors permitted by law.
