New York City, Midtown Manhattan – Fashion District (On-Site - 5 Days)

Responsibilities
  • Lead the creation of the seasonal line plans that support brand financial targets and deliver a cohesive product assortment that reflects the brand’s DNA and heritage
  • Develop and implement comprehensive merchandising strategies aligned with overall business objectives
  • Analyze sales performance, market trends, and customer feedback to identify opportunities for growth and optimization
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics to identify opportunities
  • Manage product lifecycle from concept to final, including assortment planning, pricing strategy, and inventory management
  • Drive seasonal and promotional planning initiatives to maximize sell‑through and minimize excess inventory
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Merchandising, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Ten or more years of experience in merchandising or buying with a focus on wholesale and handbags or accessories
  • Proven track record of driving sales and profitability through effective merchandising strategies and assortment planning
  • Exceptional knowledge of retail math, financial analysis, and business metrics
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, generate insights, and make data‑driven decisions
  • Strategic thinker capable of translating business goals into actionable plans
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence cross‑functional teams and build strong relationships with internal and external partners
  • Passion for trends and consumer behavior, with a deep understanding of the handbags market

The pay range for this position is: $135,000 - $185,000 per year.
