UNIQLO 5th Avenue Retail Sales Associate

Position Overview

The Sales Associate is the customer service specialist of the store and the ambassador of the brand. They are responsible for exceeding customer expectations by listening to customers' needs, finding products that meet those needs, providing in-depth product information about the goods they are interested in, and closing the sale.

• Meet and exceed sales goals.
• Maintain brand and operational standards (visual, cleanliness, etc.).
• Manage customer needs and exceed expectations by utilizing the UNIQLO service standard, following the UNIQLO Fundamental Principles and saying the 6 standard phrases.
• Be knowledgeable of fitting room standards and assist when needed.
• Act as cashier when required by following cashier protocol.
• Process shipment and ensure all merchandise is represented on the floor in full size run.
• Assist management to identify and resolve issues in the store.
• Provide product and brand knowledge to customers.
• Follow all company policy and procedures and notify management of any infractions.
• Assist with special projects as assigned by management.

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts and percentages.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time, read computer terminals, push, pull, move, lift or carry objects of at least 25 pounds.
• Ability to effectively maneuver around the sales floor and stockroom, repetitive bending, prolonged standing, twisting, stooping, squatting, and climbing.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule that meets business needs, including evenings and weekends.
• Full‑time availability and a minimum of five (5) days per week, averaging 32 hours or more per week based on business seasonality.

Maintain open availability at least five (5) days per week, averaging 32 hours or more per week. Have no more than two (2) days off in the same Monday‑Sunday workweek. Limit scheduling restrictions to no more than three (3) days per week, with only one (1) restriction permitted Friday‑Sunday and at least one (1) restriction must be time-based ("not available before 3:00 p.m.").

Hourly rate: $18.50–$19.50.
