Responsibilities and Duties:

Oversee the preparation of financial statements for the SEC requirements, ensuring accuracy and compliance by reviewing data gathered from the general ledger and supporting schedules.
Lead and coordinate the quarterly and year-end financial close processes, including the review and approval of journal entries, account reconciliations, and accruals.
Supervise the maintenance of general ledger entries and ensure timely and accurate reporting through effective management of reports and documentation.
Review and validate the accuracy of transactional data provided by clients, ensuring consistency with financial reporting standards.
Monitor and manage the input and maintenance of bank activity and transactions, ensuring proper documentation and reconciliation.
Ensure all balance sheet accounts are reconciled accurately and in a timely manner, providing oversight and guidance to junior staff as needed.
Review and approve supporting schedules for trial balance accounts, including prepaid expenses, prepaid insurance, and equity roll forwards.
Provide in-depth analyses and strategic insights into financial transactions, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
Coordinate the preparation of audit documentation and serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors, ensuring timely and accurate responses to inquiries.
