The Human Resources Expert at Target supports teams and leaders, addressing talent, staffing, and compliance needs while fostering a safe, engaging, and mission‑aligned work environment.

• Create an easy, inspiring and friendly guest experience by delivering on the following commitments:
  • Greet guests warmly: smile, make eye contact, or wave.
  • Help guests find what they need and resolve issues to ensure a smooth shopping experience.
  • End every transaction with a sincere thank you.
• Support teammates and leaders in staffing, recruiting, and training initiatives.
• Lead focused recruiting efforts to help store leaders hire suitable candidates.
• Advocate continuous learning and support team member training needs.
• Be an expert resource for scheduling systems and pay practices.
• Listen to and collaborate with team members and leaders to address concerns and take appropriate action.
• Deliver all Human Resources processes and programs to maximize engagement and minimize business disruption.
• Support leaders in following company compliance policies that mitigate risk to the team member experience.
• Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance.
• Work safely at all times; comply with all safety policies, best practices, and training; report hazards and correct where possible.
• Perform any additional duties as needed based on business requirements.

• Maintain focus and composure in a fast‑paced environment; complete multiple tasks within established time frames.

• Accurately handle cash register operations as needed.
• Frequently lift or move merchandise up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 44 pounds, without additional assistance.
• Work in environments with varying temperatures, humidity, and other elements (e.g., Drive‑Up, carry‑out).
• Remain mobile for the duration of a scheduled shift; shift length may vary.
• Flexible work schedule (e.g., nights, weekends, holidays); attend scheduled shifts and take required meal and rest breaks.
