DSW Part-Time Key Holder

General Summary

Supports store management in all activities to drive sales and results. Partners with the management team on store priorities with a focus on in‑store customer experience, inventory management, omni activities and cash wrap efficiency while promoting a positive work environment and executing operational processes in compliance with company standards and policies.

• Maintain in‑store experience by modeling Customer Experience Leader (CEL) behaviors and redirecting associate behaviors to achieve store goals and Key Performance Indicators (KPI). Respond to customer and associate requests or feedback with a high sense of urgency.
• Ensure customers have a positive experience by maintaining DSW store standards. Complete tasks related to daily open/close, including store cleaning, recovery, and maintenance.
• Review daily communication; plan and execute tasks throughout the day and follow through with required actions.
• Review, understand, and clearly communicate daily progress.
• Complete processes as requested related to audits, donations, transfers, mismates, damages, etc.
• Work closely with the store leadership team to understand and follow all policy and procedures.
• Participate in inventory activities, including freight receipt, product placement, markdowns, and marks of out of stock (MOOS).
• Assist management with omni activities in store, such as Charge/Send and Buy Online Pick Up In Store (BOPIS).
• Communicate supply needs to ensure successful operations in all areas of the business.
• Help ensure a safe environment for both customers and associates. Ensure all equipment is in good operating condition and report issues to the Store Manager.
• Address associate and customer concerns and escalations as needed.
• Support the team in associate timekeeping activities.
• Provide feedback to the Store Manager on associate performance and communicate associate relations issues for follow‑up.
• Recognize associates through company recognition tools.
• Support the team by training and coaching associates.
• Perform all other associate duties within the store.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Store Manager or other leaders.

• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to move with tempo and hold the team accountable to meet time‑bound expectations.
• Must have availability to meet the needs of the business, including nights, weekends, holidays, and shifts outside traditional business hours.
• Proficiency in technology to engage in customer interactions (Register, Register Keyboard, iPhone, Calculator).
• Must be able to spend up to 100% of working time standing or walking around the store.
• Lifting ability up to 50 pounds on an occasional to frequent basis.
• Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl frequently.

• Minimum 2 years of workforce experience.
• Minimum high school graduate or equivalent.

$17.25 – $23.40 / hour
