POSITION TYPE
Hourly position. Starting pay $17.50 per hour.
RESPONSIBILITIES- Ensure all crew members deliver excellent customer service through personal contact.
- Train crew on the B.E.S.T. customer service experience, ensuring fast and friendly checkout.
- Oversee daily activities of store associates to ensure effective performance and excellent customer service.
- Assist with receiving, unpacking, and organizing new stock for efficient placement on the sales floor.
- Act as Manager on Duty when needed, taking full responsibility for store operations, staff management, customer service, and urgent issue resolution.
- Manage the entire opening or closing process, including securing cash, locking doors, setting alarms, and preparing a smooth daily operation.
- Support onboarding and ongoing training of associates, teaching store policies, product knowledge, and operational procedures.
- Drive store sales and control expenses by optimizing merchandising, staff performance, and customer service.
- Partner with the store leadership team on merchandising procedures and World Recovery.
- Perform store maintenance such as taking out garbage, sweeping, cleaning bathrooms, and maintaining the stock room.
- High school graduate or equivalent; college experience preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year(s) of management experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to multi‑task.
- Creative thinking skills.
- Ability to maintain composure under pressure.
- Frequent operation of the cash register.
- Move merchandise weighing up to 25 lbs and place/remove merchandise up to a height of 5‑10 feet.
- Ascend and descend ladders to retrieve and put away stock.
- Position self to kneel, bend, twist, and stoop, including in the stock room and on the sales floor.
- Communicate with customers by telephone and face‑to‑face, and with managers and coworkers, exchanging accurate information.
- Assist customers across the sales floor and transfer merchandise to and from the stock room.
- Work a flexible schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, overnight shifts, and travel as required.
- Identify and discern email and print instructions regarding merchandise layouts, associate schedules, and standard operating procedures.
- Remain in a stationary, upright position for 80% of the time.
