Summary

The Operations Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operational excellence of the Diesel SoHo retail store, ensuring a seamless branded customer experience while driving efficiency across all in-store functions. This hands-on leader partners with the Store Manager and cross-functional teams to execute operational standards, manage inventory and compliance, and develop a high-performing store team. The role requires strong people leadership, operational discipline, and a focus on metrics and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily operational functions including opening/closing procedures, cash management, and store readiness.
  • Ensure consistent execution of operational standards, visual merchandising, and brand presentation.
  • Manage scheduling, floor coverage, task delegation, and serve as Manager on Duty when required.
  • Oversee receiving, processing, cycle counts, inventory audits, and reconciliation to maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Partner with Retail Operations and Store Manager to identify shrink risks and implement corrective measures.
  • Monitor KPIs (units per transaction, shrink, payroll) and prepare operational reports and action plans.
  • Manage controllable expenses, supply and fixture levels, maintenance requests, and safety compliance.
  • Recruit, onboard, train, coach, and conduct performance management for store associates.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 5+ years of retail operations management experience.
  • Proficiency in inventory management software, SAP, and Excel; familiarity with RFID a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop teams of 10 or more associates.
  • Strong understanding of retail inventory management, POS systems, loss prevention, and audit processes.
  • Proven track record of executing operational initiatives in a metrics-driven environment with strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 40 lbs., and perform frequent movement throughout sales floor and stockroom.
  • Full availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the business.
