Job Overview

Five Below is seeking a Loss Prevention Associate to maintain a secure and compliant retail environment. The successful candidate will work closely with management to enforce policies, prevent loss, and enhance customer safety.

• Contribute to shortage reduction and investigations.
• Work closely with the General Manager to ensure all employees follow policies and procedures.
• Maintain the employee entrance, including tracking packages delivered through the entrance.
• Conduct store physical security checks and recommend loss prevention measures.
• Perform figure‑8 patrols throughout the store.
• Provide a visual presence at entrances and exits with courteous and professional interaction with customers.
• Conduct safety inspections and communicate hazards to store management.
• Greet customers as a Five Below associate.

• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Customer service skills.
• Ability to communicate with all levels of staff and management.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of retail loss prevention experience.
• Basic understanding of retail or security.
• Willingness to work nights and weekends as needed.
• Ability to stand or walk the sales floor for 8 hours at a time.
• Ability to lift and carry 20 lbs.
• Regular time and attendance is essential.
• Ability to work independently.
• Full understanding of Five Below policy and procedure.
• General product knowledge in key departmental areas.
