Job Summary
Slices, packages, weighs, and sells various deli products, including meats and cheeses. Maintains the presentation and cleanliness of the deli, including deli display cases and helps Members in the deli department.

MajorTasks, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities
- Provide a high level of customer service to Members, answer questions, recommend deli items, and take special orders.
- Slice, package, and weigh deli products, including cheeses and meats.
- Help Members select the correct products, sample items to assist purchasing decisions, and prepare and package special orders and party trays.
- Receive and inspect deli shipments.
- Display, stock, rotate, and store deli products following food safety, freshness, and handling policies.
- Ensure all products are fresh and meet quality standards, check for out‑of‑date items daily, and follow salvage procedures.
- Maintain deli cooler shelves and display cases with a wide variety of product.
- Operate and handle deli equipment, clean and sanitize throughout the department (including ovens, utensils, refrigerated cases, and the cooler), and keep scale systems working and accurate.
- Maintain all club policies and procedures and perform other duties as assigned, including working in other departments when needed.
- Serve daily commitment to GOLD Member Standards:
Greet, Anticipate, Appreciate (GAA);
Fast, Friendly, Full, Fresh, Clean; and ensure a clean and organized environment inside and out. - Know your Business: access and read production and/or financial performance reporting for the department and understand how consistent execution impacts the business.
- Ensure regular, predictable, full attendance.
- Work experience in a deli department preferred.
- Prior experience operating manual/power slicers and scales preferred.
- Knowledge of deli products preferred.
- At least 18 years of age.
- Most of the time spent moving about frequently on hard surfaces.
- May need to examine or scan merchandise, including bending, handling, pulling, reaching, and/or stooping.
- Frequent lifting of objects up to 30 pounds; heavier objects may require assistance.
- Indoor environment with exposure to temperature extremes from freezers, ovens, and coolers.
- Frequent exposure to cleaning agents.

In accordance with Pay Transparency requirements, the following represents a good faith estimate of the compensation range for this position. Actual salaries will vary depending on location, education, experience, and qualifications. Pay range: $18.75 – $22.97.
