Position: HERNO - Brand Associate Wholesale & Retail Analysis
Location: New York

Herno U.S.A. Inc. is looking for a commercially driven and highly analytical Brand Associate – Wholesale & Retail Analysis to support the continued development of the Herno business across North America.

Based in New York and reporting directly to the Sales Director, the role will be approximately 80% focused on Wholesale and 20% focused on Retail Business Analysis
.

The ideal candidate will combine strong commercial instincts with excellent analytical, organizational and relationship-management skills. This position will play an active role in seasonal sales campaigns, account management, budgeting, forecasting, order management and performance analysis across both wholesale and retail channels.

Key Responsibilities:

Wholesale – 80%
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with wholesale buyers and business partners across North America.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients regarding orders, deliveries, shipping updates, product performance and business opportunities.
  • Participate in seasonal sales campaigns, including appointment scheduling, collection selling, order review and post-market follow-up.
  • Manage wholesale orders from the initial sales appointment through final delivery, ensuring accuracy and timely execution.
  • Build seasonal client budgets and contribute to regional forecasts and annual business plans.
  • Analyze weekly, monthly and seasonal sales performance against budget, forecast and prior year.
  • Monitor sell-in, sell-through, stock levels, product performance and account productivity.
  • Identify business risks and opportunities and provide clear, actionable recommendations.
  • Work strategically to achieve and exceed seasonal and annual sales targets.
  • Prospect and develop new wholesale clients throughout North America.
  • Provide buyers with recommendations regarding product selection, assortment structure, category penetration and market trends.
  • Review and adjust orders when necessary to ensure alignment with company strategy, account potential and financial objectives.
  • Collect and communicate market feedback regarding product performance, pricing, competitors and the overall perception of the collection.
  • Develop reports, tools and commercial initiatives to support sell‑in and sell‑out performance.
  • Support negotiations regarding commercial terms in alignment with company objectives and financial guidelines.
  • Follow up with clients regarding order confirmation, credit approvals, deliveries, reorders and outstanding business opportunities.
  • Support product knowledge sessions within department stores and specialty retailers.
  • Help prepare and maintain the showroom during sales campaigns, ensuring an elevated and consistent brand presentation.
  • Coordinate closely with Operations, Finance, Merchandising and Logistics to ensure accurate and timely order execution.
  • Travel for client meetings, store visits, market appointments and regional business reviews.
Retail Business Analysis – 20%
  • Prepare weekly, monthly and seasonal retail performance reports for the North America store network.
  • Analyze sales performance against budget, forecast and prior year.
  • Monitor key retail KPIs, including traffic, conversion, average transaction value, units per transaction and average unit retail.
  • Analyze sales by store, product category, collection, gender and SKU.
  • Monitor sell-through, stock levels, stock turn, inventory coverage and product productivity.
  • Identify retail business risks and opportunities and provide clear commercial recommendations.
  • Support the development of retail budgets, forecasts and seasonal targets.
  • Contribute to weekly, monthly and seasonal retail business reviews.
  • Support allocation, replenishment and inventory decisions through sales and stock analysis.
  • Track the performance of promotions, product launches, events and other retail initiatives.
  • Partner with Retail, Merchandising, Operations and Finance teams to ensure reporting accuracy and consistency.
  • Help develop dashboards and analytical tools to improve business visibility and support commercial decision‑making.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Fashion, Finance, Marketing or a related field.
