Position: Full-Time

Purpose: The Licensed Optician will deliver brand value and provide exceptional customer service to help establish Lens Crafters as a premier destination for vision needs.

• Welcome all customers and set expectations.
• Custom fit glasses and precisely place prescription in lenses.
• Act as a leader in optical acumen.
• Take and record measurements; accurately adjust and fit eyewear with attention to detail, ensuring finished eyewear meets standards and customer needs.
• Assist team with complex product needs and prescriptions.
• Accurately and thoroughly use technology, maintain product knowledge, and use appropriate tools while managing time pressure and customer volume.
• Proactively explore root cause of issues, forward‑thinking and solution‑driven to ensure customer satisfaction exceeds expectations.
• Multi‑task, prioritize and manage time amidst competing priorities.
• Strive to achieve exceptional results on Brand KPIs and competencies.
• Maintain store appearance, keeping it clean, attractive and organized.
• Inform management of safety opportunities and demonstrate safe work practices.
• Be resourceful and self‑motivated with a desire for continual learning, improvement and results.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures, including discounts, promotions and inventory management.

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• State licensure.
• Optical dispensing experience.
• Strong customer service skills: communicator, listener and team builder.
• Knowledge of current store merchandise.
• Strong basic math skills.
• Awareness of current fashion trends.
• Sales skills – ability to use and carry an iPad/tablet.
• Familiarity with POS, computers and calculators.
• Ability to embrace new technology and change.

• Previous customer service and retail experience.

Pay Range: $27.06 – $39.02 per hour.
