Assistant Store Manager - Madison Ave

Summary

Assistant Store Manager for the Madison Avenue shop supporting the General Manager in daily store operations to achieve financial targets and uphold luxury service standards. The role oversees merchandising, inventory replenishment, local marketing execution and staff management, acting as the shop lead in the Store Manager's absence. Strong retail leadership and commercial focus in a luxury ready-to-wear environment are required.

• Support the General Manager and liaise with Corporate on financial budgets and weekly performance reporting.
• Drive sales and exceptional customer service to meet and exceed financial and KPI targets.
• Manage staffing activities including recruitment, induction, training, discipline, appraisals and payroll/timecard approvals.
• Ensure the shop is merchandised to company standards and coordinate weekly display changes with Visual Merchandising.
• Maintain appropriate stock levels and place replenishment orders in close liaison with Retail Operations and Buying Office.
• Ensure compliance with Health and Safety policies and maintain communication with Buying, Press and Retail teams.

• Minimum 5 years experience in a luxury ready-to-wear retail management position.
• Experience working with tailoring for both men's and women's clothing.
• Proven ability to manage the shop in the Store Manager's absence and lead a retail team.
• Ability to interpret sales data and prepare accurate performance reports.
• Working knowledge of retail management systems and Microsoft Office.
• Experience in training associates, recruitment and performance management; strong organizational and leadership skills; flexibility to work varied hours as required.
