Luxury Retail Store Manager

The Role Overview:

The Flagship Store Director holds the most pivotal leadership role within our retail organization. Far beyond a store manager, this individual is a visionary leader, brand ambassador, client strategist, and culture builder. You will lead the boutique across all key pillars including people, client experience, selling, training, product, and brand presentation, ensuring every element of the store reflects our standards of modern luxury.

You will inspire a high-performing team, cultivate lasting client relationships, and drive exceptional results through clear communication, consistent training, and elevated storytelling. Your leadership sets the tone for the boutique, integrating brand values, commercial goals, and a world-class experience at every touchpoint.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Team Development
  • Lead, motivate, inspire, and support a team of luxury sales professionals and support staff.
  • Foster a team-oriented and positive store environment that encourages collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee continuous learning and development programs, including product knowledge, brand storytelling, and sales technique training.
  • Provide real-time coaching, performance feedback, and career development.
  • Host regular team meetings to align on priorities, celebrate wins, share insights, and strengthen the team dynamic.
Sales Performance and Accountability
  • Achieve annual sales targets by driving a results-focused culture centered on individual performance, product knowledge, and effective sales strategies.
  • Set and communicate clear daily, weekly, and monthly sales goals, ensuring alignment and accountability across the team
  • Motivate and coach the team to achieve sales and productivity benchmarks.
  • Ensure the team demonstrates deep product knowledge and consistently delivers a client-first, consultative selling experience.
Client Strategy and Experience
  • Champion a culture of hospitality and personalization that delivers a best-in-class client experience.
  • Own the clienteling strategy, including consistent outreach, follow-ups, and long-term relationship building.
  • Leverage tools like Endear to drive targeted communication and support client engagement goals.
  • Lead VIP outreach, elevate in-store experiences, and strengthen loyalty through events and personalized service.
Product & Inventory Oversight
  • Conduct periodic stock audits and ensure proper stock levels, product rotation, and loss prevention procedures.
  • Maintain tight control over repairs, special orders, and inventory accuracy.
Event Hosting & Brand Collaboration
  • Partner with corporate to conceptualize and host in-store events that elevate brand presence and client engagement.
  • Provide local market insight to corporate partners for product, marketing, and experience enhancements.
  • Represent the boutique in broader community and industry initiatives.
Reporting & Performance Tracking
  • Assist in preparing and reviewing daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports, identifying trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
  • Monitor individual and team sales performance, providing feedback and guidance to ensure targets are met.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 5-6 years of leadership experience in a luxury or high-touch retail environment.
  • Experience in the jewelry industry, particularly lab-grown diamonds, is highly desirable.
  • Strong track record of team leadership, sales growth, and client development in a high-end retail environment.
  • Strong leadership and people management abilities, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • Exceptional sales skills with a deep understanding of customer service and relationship building.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to engage customers and inspire the team.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills, able to manage both the operational aspects of the store and the development of the sales team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and retail point-of-sale systems.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, retail management, or a related field is preferred
