Role Description The Regional Asset Protection Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in New York, NY. This role is responsible for managing asset protection programs across a designated region of Dollar Tree stores, focusing on loss prevention, shrink reduction, safety, and compliance. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting store audits, reviewing exception reports, analyzing shrink and incident trends, and partnering with store and district leadership to implement corrective action plans.
The Regional Asset Protection Manager will investigate internal and external theft, support case management and evidence documentation, and collaborate with law enforcement as appropriate. This role will also train and coach store teams on asset protection procedures, safety standards, and best practices, while ensuring adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- Ability to analyze data and trends, conduct investigations, and utilize case management tools to identify and address shrink and loss issues.
- Experience implementing loss prevention strategies, conducting store audits, and developing action plans to improve safety and compliance.
- Strong communication, coaching, and relationship-building skills to influence and support store, district, and regional leadership.
- Proven capability to work independently in the field, manage multiple locations, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Knowledge of retail operations, asset protection practices, and relevant laws and regulations related to theft, safety, and workplace security.
- Proficiency with standard office software and reporting tools; ability to prepare clear reports and presentations for leadership.
- Prior experience in asset protection, loss prevention, or related retail management fields, preferably in a multi-store or regional capacity.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Business, or a related field is preferred.
- Willingness to travel regularly within the assigned region and work a flexible schedule, including some evenings and weekends as necessary.
