Snack Brand Retail Associate - Flexible Hours & Discount

The Goods Mart is hiring for our new location at the Williamsburg Wharf in Brooklyn! TGM is looking for a hands-on Retail Associate to deliver an exceptional guest experience and help build a neighborhood store people return to again and again. This role is ideal for someone who loves retail, CPG, and community, and is excited to take ownership on the floor.

Retail Associates do more than run daily operations: they help shape the store’s energy, culture, and customer experience. From introducing guests to new brands to creating a warm, welcoming environment, this role is key to how The Goods Mart shows up every day.

This is a collaborative, fast-paced role where no two shifts look the same. You’ll work closely with store leadership and your teammates to keep the store stocked, organized, and running smoothly while delivering thoughtful, engaging service to every customer.

Responsibilities

Greet every customer with warmth, energy, and genuine hospitality

Share product knowledge, answer questions, and guide customers to new and favorite items

Operate the POS and handle transactions accurately

Receive and process deliveries; restock and maintain full, organized shelves throughout your shift

Maintain merchandising standards, including facing and displays

Assist with opening and closing procedures, including basic cash handling and store setup

Monitor product freshness, including stock rotation and expiration checks

Uphold cleanliness, food safety, and store standards at all times

Support teammates and contribute to a positive, team-first environment

Most importantly, try the latest and greatest snacks just hitting our shelves.

Qualifications & Experience

Available to begin training on or around April 20, 2026

Grocery, retail and/or hospitality experience preferred

Interest in natural, organic, and emerging food brands

Excited to talk about incredible brands and learn about their founders.

Strong communication and customer service skills

Comfortable using POS systems and basic digital tools

Comfortable working with team members and alone

Able to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment

Availability of at least 20 hours per week, including weekends

Early morning and/or evening availability

Able to lift up to 25 pounds and remain on your feet for extended periods

Compensation

• $20/hour
