Our client is a leading fashion company known for its quality, innovation, and strong presence in the apparel industry. They are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Temporary Assistant Buyer to support the Buying team in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Salary/Hourly Rate$26/hr
Position OverviewThe Temporary Assistant Buyer will support the Buying team with day-to-day administrative and operational responsibilities related to product assortment, purchase orders, inventory, and vendor coordination. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities Of The Temporary Assistant Buyer- Assist buyers with day-to-day administrative and operational tasks.
- Support purchase order creation, tracking, and maintenance.
- Coordinate with vendors and internal teams regarding product, pricing, deliveries, and order status.
- Maintain and update product and assortment information in internal systems.
- Assist with inventory tracking, reporting, and data management.
- Prepare and maintain spreadsheets, reports, and other buying-related documents.
- Follow up on outstanding issues and help ensure deadlines are met.
- Collaborate with Merchandising, Planning, Production, and other cross-functional teams.
- Provide general administrative support to the Buying team as needed.
- 1 - 2 years of experience in buying, merchandising, retail, fashion, or a related field.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proactive approach to problem-solving and follow-up.
- Previous experience supporting a buying or merchandising team.
- Experience with in the fashion, apparel, or retail industry.
- Familiarity with purchase orders, inventory, and vendor communication.
- Experience with PLM or other merchandising/buying systems.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience is required.
