Parts Stockperson

Competition Auto Group, a family-owned dealership group in Syosset, NY, is seeking a Parts Stockperson to support our busy parts and service operations. In this role, you will receive, label, and stock incoming automotive parts, pick and stage parts orders for technicians and retail customers, and help maintain accurate inventory levels and bin locations. You'll assist with periodic stock counts, ensure a clean and organized parts department, and coordinate closely with advisors and technicians.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming automotive parts shipments against invoices and packing lists
• Label, bin, and stock parts in designated locations to maintain an organized parts department
• Pick, stage, and deliver parts orders for technicians and retail/wholesale customers
• Assist with daily, weekly, and periodic inventory counts and help resolve discrepancies
• Maintain cleanliness, safety, and organization of stockroom, shelves, and work areas
• Use parts catalog and dealer management systems to look up and process parts transactions
• Coordinate with service advisors and technicians to ensure timely availability of required parts
• Monitor stock levels and notify supervisor of low or fast-moving inventory items
• Handle basic customer and internal inquiries regarding parts availability and status
• Follow dealership, manufacturer, and safety policies for handling, storing, and transporting parts
