Summary
The Retail Performance Director partners with regional and store management and corporate teams to improve retail business performance through analytics, operational excellence and targeted action plans. Based in the Midtown Manhattan corporate office, the role drives scheduling, FTE planning, budgeting and retail tool rollouts to optimize productivity and enhance the client experience. The director leads retail community initiatives and supports change management across stores and regions.
Responsibilities- Provide retail analytics and a 360° view of performance, proposing action plans to support brand priorities.
- Monitor sales performance, KPIs, non-selling activities, team structures and FTE; identify and implement solutions to drive results.
- Manage BI reporting tools and simplify store and regional reporting processes.
- Partner with finance on controllable budgets, set store/region budgets and reallocate as needed.
- Lead FTE planning, scheduling optimization and workforce management initiatives (eg. UKG rollout and trainings).
- Manage retail projects including uniforms, store openings/renovations, peak processes and new retail tools.
- Support and coach the Retail Directors community to implement individualized store action plans and improve retail efficiency.
- 8+ years of experience in retail operations, retail analytics or retail performance roles, preferably within luxury retail.
- Strong analytical skills and experience with BI tools and reporting; comfortable working with KPIs and sales data.
- Proven experience in workforce planning, budgeting and scheduling optimization.
- Project management experience and ability to lead cross-functional rollouts and trainings.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management and leadership skills; ability to coach and influence regional and store teams.
- Ability to work onsite in the Manhattan corporate office and travel to stores/regions as required.
