City Hats is looking for a friendly, dependable, and motivated Full-Time Sales Associate to join our team at our Houston Street location in Manhattan.. .

As a City Hats Sales Associate, you will work directly with customers to help them find the right hats, styles, sizes, and fits while providing an enjoyable and welcoming shopping experience. We are looking for someone who is comfortable working in a fast-paced retail environment, takes pride in providing excellent customer service, and works well as part of a team.. .

This is a full-time position and applicants must have weekend availability.. .

This position involves being on your feet for extended periods, assisting customers throughout the store, maintaining merchandise and displays, and helping with the day-to-day operation of the store.. .

• Greet customers and provide friendly, attentive customer service..
• Assist customers with selecting hats based on style, size, fit, color, and personal preference..
• Develop strong knowledge of City Hats merchandise, brands, products, sizing, and inventory..
• Answer customer questions and make product recommendations..
• Operate the point-of-sale system and accurately process cash, credit card, and other transactions..
• Maintain an organized, clean, and visually appealing sales floor..
• Restock merchandise and organize inventory as needed..
• Assist with receiving, unpacking, tagging, and organizing new merchandise..
• Help maintain the cleanliness and overall appearance of the store..
• Work cooperatively with other sales associates and management..
• Follow store policies and procedures regarding sales, inventory, security, and customer service..
• Assist with opening and closing responsibilities when assigned..
• Help prevent merchandise loss by remaining attentive to the sales floor and following store security procedures..
• Perform other reasonable store duties as assigned by management..

• Must be available to work full-time..
• Weekend availability is required..
• Previous retail, sales, or customer service experience is preferred, but motivated candidates who are eager to learn are encouraged to apply..
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills..
• Friendly, professional, and comfortable speaking with customers..
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work well as part of a team..
• Willingness to learn about hats, fashion, brands, sizing, and product features..
• Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment and handle multiple responsibilities..
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, including shifts of up to approximately 10 hours..
• Ability to regularly move, organize, and restock merchandise..
• Must be able to reliably commute to our Manhattan location..
• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and varying shifts based on store needs..
• Must be able to follow company policies and instructions from store management..
• Must be eligible to work in the United States..
• Must be able to complete any lawful pre-employment screening required for the position..
