A leading retail organization seeking an organized and detail-oriented individual to support its Merchant and Product Technical Services teams. Our client is seeking a Sample Processor to support product sample tracking, organization, documentation, and operational processes.
Salary/Hourly Rate:$18/hr
Position Overview:The Sample Processor provides administrative and operational support by receiving, tracking, organizing, photographing, storing, and processing physical product samples. This position works closely with internal merchandising and product teams to ensure samples are accurately documented and available for review. This is a temporary-to-permanent opportunity with the potential to convert to a permanent position after approximately six months.
Responsibilities of the Sample Processor:- Track expected product samples and communicate sample requirements and due dates to vendors.
- Prepare updates regarding outstanding or late samples.
- Unpack and organize incoming product samples.
- Receive and document samples in internal tracking systems.
- Create and attach barcodes for sample tracking.
- Photograph samples according to established guidelines and upload images to digital records.
- Organize samples in designated storage areas and maintain accurate location records.
- Retrieve samples for internal team members as needed.
- Prepare samples for merchant review meetings.
- Record sample feedback, notes, and approval decisions.
- Communicate sample feedback to vendors using established processes.
- Identify and process samples eligible for disposal.
- Coordinate sample donation or disposal activities.
- Perform other administrative and organizational duties as assigned.
- Minimum one year of related work experience and/or retail experience.
- Basic Microsoft Office skills, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Comfortable working at a computer as well as performing physical tasks.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing processes.
- Team-oriented and dependable.
- Ability to lift and move packages weighing up to 35 pounds.
- Experience with physical product samples, inventory, merchandise, or product-related administrative processes.
- Experience using tracking, inventory, or database systems.
- Retail, merchandising, apparel, product development, or similar industry experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Four-year college degree is not required.
- Temporary-to-permanent opportunity.
- Potential for conversion to a permanent position after approximately six months based on business needs and performance.
- Opportunity to gain experience supporting merchandising and product operations.
