The role:

We are hiring a Global Accounts Director to join our high-performing sales team in New York and become an integral part of our global accounts strategy. This role will work alongside our regional accounts teams and report to our Head of Global Accounts. Ideally we are looking for someone with at least 7 years quota carrying sales experience. Base salary range - $130,000 - $140,000.

The compensation for this role features a 65% base salary and 35% variable/commission structure. The On-Target Earnings (OTE) are expected to be $200k - $215k, with uncapped commission potential.

Role Overview

Do you have the entrepreneurial drive and commercial acumen to grow our highest-value global accounts? WGSN is seeking a strategic leader to own and expand critical client relationships, driving significant revenue growth through the strategic deployment of our foresight capabilities.

What you ll do:

  • Lead Global Accounts:
    Manage a dedicated portfolio of global accounts, acting as the ultimate commercial owner for the relationship.
  • Drive Strategic Growth:
    Develop and execute a comprehensive account plan focused on leveraging the full suite of WGSN products and services to meet and exceed client expectations.
  • Exceed Revenue Targets:
    Deepen commercial relationships through organic subscription growth, strategic upsells, renewals, and project-based revenues.
  • Act as the Market Expert:
    Maintain extensive knowledge of client priorities and current market conditions, translating insights into profitable opportunities.
  • Lead the Internal Team:
    Own the global commercial relationship, working with regional account managers and the client success team to deliver exceptional value.
Team & Culture

We have high-performing Sales teams including Key Account and Senior Account Managers, Business Development and Client Servicing specialists. You will be part of the Global Accounts team that works with senior clients across industries to build strategic partnerships. Our teams are diverse, tenacious, resilient and dedicated to delivering value to our global clientele in Fashion, Beauty, Interiors, Food & Drink and Consumer Tech.

Accountabilities

Strategic Leadership & Sales Execution

  • Own the Global Growth Strategy:
    Partner with regional account management teams to deliver the 3-year growth plan for global accounts and meet or exceed revenue targets.
  • Drive Account Expansion:
    Identify and develop new opportunities within an assigned book of 7-10 strategic growth accounts.
  • Renewals:
    Execute client contract renewals to maintain high renewal rates.
  • Elevate Client Relationships:
    Deepen understanding of the client s business, industry challenges and market trends to position WGSN as a strategic partner.
  • Win Executive Buy-in:
    Deliver compelling commercial presentations to Executive and C-level stakeholders, articulating measurable value.
  • End-to-End Sales Ownership:
    Lead all aspects of the complex global sales cycle, including network building and negotiations.

Collaboration & Operational Excellence

  • Champion Client Success:
    Work with content, consulting and client success teams to ensure exceptional client service.
  • Forecasting & Reporting:
    Maintain accurate pipeline tracking in Salesforce with regular revenue forecasts.
  • Global Presence:
    Travel as needed to build and nurture client relationships across time zones.
  • Team Leadership:
    Demonstrate leadership across the global accounts team and drive positive change.

Required

  • Proven Track Record:
    At least 7 years of strategic account sales with success in winning, retaining, and growing global accounts (multi-million dollar portfolio preferred).
