Are you a dynamic independent furniture sales representative looking to expand your portfolio with proven, premium brands? Gabriella White (), the parent company of Summer Classics and Gabby
, is seeking an experienced Independent Sales Representative to grow our presence in a designated geographic territory. This role is ideal for a sales professional with strong experience working within the interior design trade and cultivating long-term relationships with designers and showrooms. This is a commission-based, independent contractor role (1099 status), offering the freedom to represent additional, non-competing furniture brands alongside ours.
This position will serve the New York City market. The ideal candidate will live around the New York City area.
Essential Duties- Prospect and build a network for new business opportunities and referrals.
- Develop sales leads within the territory, follow up with decision-makers, and advance the sales process.
- Collaborate with the VP of Sales on strategies for expanding business in the territory.
- Negotiate and close sales agreements with a high closing ratio.
- Communicate customer order changes or cancellations to the appropriate company contacts.
- Coordinate with Gabriella White’s customer service team regarding order status and delivery updates.
- Maintain accurate records of client contacts, meetings, and sales activity, and provide regular sales reporting.
- Represent Summer Classics and Gabby at designated industry conferences and events to expand knowledge and grow a professional network.
- Perform other sales-related activities necessary to grow business within the territory.
- The Independent Sales Representative will operate as a self-employed business and will not be classified as an employee of Gabriella White.
- Compensation will be on a commission-only basis tied to sales results.
- The representative is responsible for all taxes, insurance, expenses, and business operations associated with their services.
- The representative may contract with and represent other furniture brands
, provided those brands do not directly compete with Summer Classics or Gabby.
- Industry Expertise
:
Solid knowledge of the furniture or home furnishings industry, with an understanding of design trends, retail distribution, and competitive dynamics. - Sales Acumen

Proven ability to prospect, pitch, negotiate, and close deals, ideally with experience working on commission-based compensation. - Territory Development

Skilled at building and managing a sales pipeline within a defined geographic region. - Networking Ability
