Real Property Captive is a protected cell captive insurance company built for real estate owners by real estate owners.
The opportunity is straightforward.
Most major institutional owner, large private equity firms, REITs, nine-figure family offices, manages their insurance through a captive structure
. They own their risk, they build capital when their loss history is clean, and they are not simply watching premium dollars transfer to a carrier’s balance sheet each renewal cycle. The reason mid-sized owners have been unable to access the same structure was not that the economics didn’t work for them, it was the infrastructure required to get there.
RPC addresses that through aggregation. By pooling premium across a diversified base of mid-market property owners, we bring institutional fronting and reinsurance partners to the table and pass the resulting economics on to each participant. Every Owner maintains their own capital and their own underwriting results, legally segregated from the rest of the program.
The captive economics that previously required a $5MM+ insurance spend are now accessible starting in the low six figures in annual premium.
We are now looking for someone to bring that story to market.
The RoleThis is RPC’s first dedicated sales hire. The position is focused on outbound, identifying mid-market property owners and operators who fit the profile and opening substantive conversations about whether the structure makes sense for them. The target is owner-operators with scattered-site portfolios, typically in the $250MM to $1B range of total insured value, spending north of a few hundred thousand annually on property and GL coverage.
These are private family offices, regional operators with a few hundred apartment units or a mixed commercial portfolio, and owners who have been building quietly for years.
Relevant experience matters less than the underlying ability to earn a conversation with a busy, skeptical owner and make it worth their time. No prior knowledge of captive insurance is required.
The technical foundation is teachable. The capacity to have a credible conversation with an experienced operator is not.
Competitive base salary plus commission tied to closed deals.
Base salary range $85,000 to $115,000, Total Comp $115,000 - $170,000. Equity upside after year 2, this is a founding role and will be treated as one. Remote with some travel for industry conferences and client meetings.
RPC is not a venture-backed company with a formal sales infrastructure in place. This role reports directly to the founder, a real estate entrepreneur who bootstrapped $300k in college earnings to a $60MM wholly owned portfolio. That means genuine access, real input into how the company goes to market, and direct ownership over your part of the business. It also means you need to be self-directed and comfortable building process rather than inheriting it.
