Position Summary:
The Associate Sales Assistant will provide full sales support to one or more Account Managers for pre-sales projects and new business development.
Responsibilities:
• Coordinate, execute and manage follow up for all customer pre-sales and sales support needs including sample requests, regulatory and technical documentation, pricing & plant trials.
• Handle customer inquiries, provide necessary information and interface with the customer in partnership with the Account Manager.
• Follow up on customer projects and manage communication and status updates with customers.
• Maintain all core supplier agreements, contracts, rebates, and confidentiality agreements.
• Calculate prices, prepare price letters and maintain price files.
• Support account manager with administrative functions including client visits, correspondence and reports. Assist in the preparation of customer presentations.
• Communicate regularly with account managers and internal departments, keeping them informed of customer activity.
• Ensure all required SAP data is accurate and maintained on an ongoing basis.
• Maintain business databases and generate reports, prepare and run reports from iCAM and keep all databases up to date.
• Accurately follow procedures while carrying out job responsibilities.
Profile:
•
An Associate’s Degree or equivalent work experience is required;
Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 3-5 years relevant experience, preferably in sales support, project coordination or customer service.
• Technically savvy with demonstrated ability to learn new systems.
•
Experience working with various software applications required. Microsoft office (word, excel, power point) experience is required. Intermediate to advanced level is preferred.
•
SAP experience is preferred.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to take initiative and manage priorities required.
• Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience managing professional communication with customers.
• Must be a team player with commercial awareness.
• Must be able to work independently with a service-oriented work style.
