Position Overview

A Brooklyn-based solar energy company is seeking a motivated and ambitious Sales Representative to join our growing team. This is a commission-based role with strong earning potential for individuals who are driven, persuasive, and eager to help homeowners and businesses transition to clean, cost-effective energy solutions.

As a Sales Representative, you will educate prospective customers about the benefits of solar energy, generate new leads, and guide clients through the process from initial consultation to signed agreement. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a performance-based environment and is excited about working in the fast-growing renewable energy industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Generate and qualify new leads through outreach, networking, referrals, and community engagement

  • Conduct consultations with homeowners and business owners to assess solar needs

  • Educate clients on the financial and environmental benefits of solar energy

  • Present proposals and explain pricing structures clearly and confidently

  • Guide customers through the sales process from introduction to contract execution

  • Maintain consistent follow-up communication with prospective clients

  • Collaborate with installation and operations teams to ensure smooth project transitions

  • Track sales activity and maintain organized client records

  • Stay informed on industry trends, incentives, and local solar programs

Qualifications & Desired Attributes
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Confident, persuasive, and comfortable speaking with potential clients

  • Self-motivated and goal-oriented

  • Ability to work independently and manage your own pipeline

  • Organized with strong follow-through

  • Interest in renewable energy and sustainability

  • Sales experience is helpful but not required
