The Recorder is a trusted, independent local newspaper serving the Bedford, Lewisboro, Mt. Kisco and Pound Ridge communities with high-quality, nonpartisan journalism. We partner with local businesses and organizations to help them connect meaningfully with readers while supporting essential local news.

The Advertising Sales Representative is responsible for selling print and digital advertising to local businesses and organizations. This is a flexible, independent contractor role ideal for a self-motivated salesperson who enjoys relationship-building and believes in the value of local media.

• Identify, pitch, and secure new advertising clients
• Maintain and grow relationships with existing advertisers
• Represent The Recorder professionally and enthusiastically in the community
• Clearly communicate advertising options, pricing, and value
• Coordinate with The Recorder team to ensure smooth ad placement and execution

• Sales experience preferred (media sales a plus, but not required)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Comfortable working independently and managing your own time
• Interest in or commitment to supporting local journalism
• Existing local business relationships are a plus

Commission-only compensation, earned from the first dollar sold
