Location: New York

We are seeking a Director of Business Development to join our growing New York team. This is a high-impact role focused on developing new client relationships for our eDiscovery services and Information Governance solutions.

This opportunity is ideal for a proven eDiscovery sales professional who is currently selling eDiscovery solutions and is ready to take the next step in their career.

In this role, you will have the flexibility and autonomy to build clients across a wide range of industries, while helping them navigate the full EDRM lifecycle—from cutting-edge information governance solutions through to comprehensive eDiscovery response and paper services.

This position is designed to evolve into Head of US Sales,

offering exceptional long-term career progression for the right individual.

We offer very generous, uncapped commission plans, along with full training on our services, technologies, and solutions.

Rational is a privately owned company and has international reach with offices in Albany, New York and London.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive new business generation through proactive prospecting and client development
  • Build and manage a strong pipeline of opportunities
  • Lead prospects through every phase of the sales process
  • Develop long-term client relationships across multiple sectors
Requirements
  • Proven track record in new business (hunter) sales
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience selling eDiscovery solutions
  • Strong ability to prospect, qualify, and close new clients
  • Highly self-motivated, organised, and results-driven
  • Comfortable working independently while contributing to a growing US sales strategy
