NY Metro Cannabis Account & Field Growth Lead

We are seeking a driven, relationship-focused Market Manager to lead sales growth and brand presence throughout the New York Metro territory for The Bettering Company.

This role is designed for someone who thrives in a fast-moving startup environment and enjoys owning both account growth and in-market execution. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable building buyer relationships, driving sell-through at dispensaries, executing in-store activations, educating bud tenders, and representing the brand at events.

As an early-stage growth role, this position requires a hands‑on operator mentality with the ability to balance sales development, account management, merchandising, field marketing, and customer engagement while helping establish long‑term territory infrastructure.

• Grow the number of dispensaries carrying Bettering products throughout the NY Metro region
• Manage and expand relationships with existing dispensary partners to increase sales velocity and reorder frequency
• Serve as the primary field representative for the territory through regular store visits, trainings, events, and activations
• Execute in-store merchandising, display support, pop-ups, and promotional initiatives
• Conduct budtender education and product knowledge trainings
• Develop territory plans and identify new business opportunities within assigned markets
• Utilize CRM tools to manage pipeline activity, follow-ups, account notes, and reporting
• Capture field insights, competitive intelligence, and consumer feedback to support company strategy
• Collaborate with leadership and marketing teams to support territory growth initiatives
• Attend networking events, industry functions, and community activations to strengthen brand awareness
• Maintain compliance with all New York cannabis regulations and company policies
• Present weekly updates on sales activity, account performance, and territory opportunities

This role will support the New York Metro territory, including NYC, Long Island, Westchester, and surrounding markets. Frequent local travel within the territory is required, along with occasional evening and weekend event participation.

• 3+ years of experience in cannabis, beverage alcohol, CPG, or related field sales
• Strong relationship-building and account management skills
• Comfortable working independently in a startup environment
• Experience with dispensary sales, field marketing, or retail activation preferred
• Proficiency with CRM platforms and sales tracking tools
• Strong communication, organization, and follow-through
• Ability to balance strategic sales growth with hands‑on execution in the field
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel regularly throughout the territory

• Base Salary:
  Starting at $70,000+
