Customer Service and Procurement Representative – Hamburg Overhead Door, Inc. (Buffalo Garage Door Solutions).
Location:
Tonawanda, NY. Hamburg Overhead Door owns Buffalo Garage Door Solutions, the region’s largest garage door company.
We are seeking a highly motivated Inside Sales Customer Service Representative to join our team. In this role you’ll foster positive customer relationships and drive revenue growth through strategic sales initiatives.

- Interact with customers via phone, email, and in person to provide exceptional service and address inquiries promptly.
- Proactively identify and pursue sales opportunities by promoting products and services, upselling and cross‑selling to maximize revenue (no cold calling).
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers to ensure satisfaction and loyalty.
- Develop deep product knowledge to effectively communicate features and benefits.
- Resolve customer concerns and issues in a timely and effective manner, collaborating with other departments as needed.
- Maintain accurate customer records, sales activities and other information in the CRM system.
- Type up sales estimates and service/installation work orders.
- Show garage doors to customers in showroom, using product knowledge to match the best product for each customer.
- Process customer transactions such as orders, quotes or returns accurately.
- Educate customers about terminology, features and benefits of products to improve sales and satisfaction.
- Identify potential suppliers, negotiate contracts, manage vendor relationships and ensure timely delivery of products and services.
- Work in a team environment to serve customers, pull small parts from warehouse for walk‑in customers, maintain proficiency in PC and office equipment.
- Follow company policies and procedures and perform other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma required;
Bachelor’s degree preferred. - Minimum 3 years of customer service experience.
- Minimum 2 years of inside sales experience, preferably with a proven record of exceeding sales targets.
- Proficient in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Strong customer‑centric orientation and ability to build rapport.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Collaborative teamwork mindset.
- Adaptability to fast‑paced environments.
- Stake‑prioritization, multitasking, ability to operate multi‑line phone system.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Schedule:
Monday–Friday 8 a.m.–5 p.m.; some Saturdays 9 a.m.–12 p.m. & work at local trade shows.
