Service Inside Sales Representative
This hybrid role is based out of our Skaneateles office and reports to the Associate Director, Service Sales Enablement. The Service Inside Sales Representative promotes and sells Baxter’s service portfolios to US accounts.
Responsibilities- Sells Baxter’s Service contracts to US customers, both proactively (e.g., cold calling) and in response to customer or sales representative requests.
- Creates quotations for Service Contracts and administers the sales process from candidate identification through contract sale and support.
- Provides contract renewal information to existing customers and fosters relationships to facilitate growth with channel partners, key account managers, field engineers, and the commercial sales team.
- Proactively approaches new customers to pitch the value of Baxter service contracts and sells the contracts to grow market share.
- Achieves team and individual quotas for Service Contract Orders and Sales.
- Manages service contracts in the Baxter system, including negotiation status, agreed terms, and conditions; ensures accurate and timely data entry, accurate billing and invoices, and answers contractual questions.
- Works with Regional Field Service Managers and Account Managers to determine service strategies and eligibility for customers.
- Collaborates with field service engineers and field sales to build quotations, close sales leads, track deals closed by field representatives, and provide accurate incentive payouts.
- Maintains up-to-date knowledge of the industry, competitive posture, and prepares activity and forecast reports as requested.
- Assists technical personnel in understanding supply agreement obligations and drafts agreements and other legal documents to meet internal requirements.
- Maintains communication to ensure timely execution by all parties and administers pricing changes.
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience (preferred).
- Healthcare or software industry experience (preferred).
- 2+ years of virtual sales experience (preferred).
- Expert proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience with Salesforce or a similar CRM.
- Skilled in reviewing, editing, and discussing legal terms and conditions.
- Experienced in sophisticated negotiation techniques.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, collaboration, and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated results in developing and implementing a new commercial approach.
- Problem‑solving mentality supported by data‑driven analysis.
The estimated base pay range for this position is $60,000–$75,000 annually, with additional opportunity for sales incentive compensation based on performance. The range reflects an anticipated salary range for the position and may vary based on market data, experience, and location.
