A Japanese food and beverage distributor is seeking a Chinese Bilingual Outside Sales Representative. This position will be responsible for developing new accounts, maintaining existing client relationships, and driving revenue growth in a defined territory. This roll will focus on promoting Japanese food and beverage products to Chinese grocery stores, restaurants, and food service businesses across the region.
This is a great opportunity to play a key role in expanding a fast-growing company that specializes in importing premium Japanese food products into the U.S. market.
Essential Duties
– Identify and develop new business opportunities, primarily within Chinese supermarkets, wholesalers, and restaurants.
– Maintain strong, long‑term relationships with existing clients, ensuring excellent service and support.
– Conduct in‑person visits to client locations to present new products, take orders, and address customer needs.
– Collaborate with internal teams (purchasing, logistics, warehouse) to ensure smooth order fulfillment and delivery.
– Monitor competitor activities and gather customer feedback to support product development and marketing.
– Meet and exceed sales targets and performance KPIs on a monthly and quarterly basis.
Working Hours, Working style
8:00am-5:00pm
– During the initial training period, full‑time in‑office attendance is required to ensure thorough onboarding and team integration.
– After the training period, a flexible work style is available, including direct commuting to client sites and the option to work remotely when appropriate.
Qualifications
– At least 2 years of B2B sales experience in the food import/export or distribution industry.
– Fluent‑level Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) and business‑level English proficiency required.
– Valid drivers license and willingness to travel frequently within assigned territory
– Strong interpersonal and communication skills
– Self‑motivated, organized, and able to manage time effectively
