Business Development Manager - Event Sales

Compensation: $40,000 - $120,000 / year

Key Responsibilities- Working closely with the Content Lead and Sales Managers, you will help to devise and execute the go-to-market plan for your dedicated events.
- Generating new business through research using our extensive sister products, client communication and follow-up.
- Selling sponsorship for allocated events.
- Learning more about the brand through reading our news services in order to offer tailored products to both new and existing clients.
- Developing and maintaining contact with potential clients via email, telephone communication and face-to-face meetings.
- Creating and implementing a sales plan for products to meet sales targets.
- P pitching to clients and leads in a bespoke manner, ensuring that you always provide a high level of customer service.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills, in particular a highly professional telephone manner.
- Strong organisational skills.
- Motivated individual able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience of using a CRM system – preference for Salesforce.
- Previous experience selling within the legal or professional services market is desirable, but not essential.
- Ability to work towards targets and deadlines and devise a personal strategy to exceed them.
