Inside Sales Representative
TES Staffing is partnering with a growing science and education supplier to hire two Inside Sales Representatives to support an exciting expansion initiative focused on schools, colleges, universities, research labs, and scientific organizations.
This is not a customer service role. We're looking for sales hunters, people who enjoy picking up the phone, building relationships, uncovering opportunities, and closing business.
If you've succeeded in inside sales, business development, account acquisition, outbound sales, SaaS, industrial sales, education sales, distribution, or any environment where high call volume and pipeline management drove results, we'd love to speak with you.

What you'll be selling:
You'll help schools, colleges, universities, science teachers, researchers, laboratories, biotech organizations, agricultural facilities, and other scientific users source the equipment and supplies they need to support learning, experimentation, and research.
This is consultative selling, not high-pressure sales. Success comes from asking great questions, understanding customer needs, building trust, and recommending the right solutions.
What you'll be doing:
- Make outbound calls to prospective customers throughout assigned territories
- Follow up on inbound inquiries and website-generated leads
- Build relationships with science educators, lab managers, procurement teams, researchers, and institutional buyers
- Manage opportunities through the entire sales cycle from first contact to close
- Maintain accurate CRM records and sales activity
- Generate quotes, process sales opportunities, and support customer purchasing decisions
- Consistently meet activity, pipeline, and revenue goals
- Collaborate with marketing, ecommerce, operations, and customer support teams
What we're looking for:
- Experience in inside sales, business development, account acquisition, or outbound sales
- Confidence making a high volume of daily calls
- Strong prospecting and relationship-building skills
- Experience using CRM systems (Pipedrive, Salesforce, Hub Spot, or similar)
- Self-motivated and goal-oriented mindset
- Ability to manage a sales pipeline and move opportunities forward
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Bonus points for:
- Experience selling to schools, colleges, universities, laboratories, healthcare, biotech, industrial, manufacturing, or scientific organizations
- Science, STEM, laboratory, healthcare, research, or technical product knowledge
- Experience using Shopify, CRM systems, or ecommerce sales platforms
- A genuine interest in science, education, research, or technology
Compensation:
Base salary:
Starting at $58,000 up to $80,000 (if you check all the boxes)
Commission plan available
Expected first-year earnings of approximately $100,000+

The preferred candidate will work on-site in Honeoye Falls, NY, just a short commute from Rochester. For exceptional candidates, leadership is open to discussing alternative arrangements.
