Location: New York

The Role

Kissy is looking for a NYC Sales Lead to own the market from the field. You will be a field‑first sales professional who builds on‑premise accounts across Manhattan and Brooklyn, turning new openings into repeat orders and driving brand presence.

Responsibilities
  • Open and grow on‑premise accounts across Manhattan and Brooklyn, including bars, restaurants, clubs, hotels, and high‑volume hospitality groups.
  • Turn first orders into consistent reorders; the reorder cycle is the core metric.
  • Build and maintain the NYC account master, target list, pipeline, and weekly sales cadence.
  • Collaborate with founders and distributor partners to ensure accounts can place, reorder, and receive quick support.
  • Lead from the front in the field and coach a junior rep on routes, follow‑up, account quality, and standards.
  • Run staff trainings, menu pushes, tastings, and brand activations that drive real sell‑through.
  • Bring market feedback to the founders: buyer sentiment, conversion drivers, pain points, and growth opportunities.
Qualifications
  • Roughly 3+ years selling on‑premise in NYC, ideally within spirits, wine, beer, RTD, beverage, or hospitality‑adjacent sales.
  • Current relationships with buyers, GMs, bartenders, or distributor reps in NYC.
  • Track record of opening and sustaining accounts, not merely placing one‑time placements.
  • Able to run an independent route without constant managerial oversight.
  • High‑integrity operator who keeps accurate notes, reports truthful pipeline data, and responsibly uses company resources.
  • Comfortable being measured on account openings, reorder velocity, account quality, and revenue.
  • Legally eligible to promote and handle alcohol in New York; able to work evenings, weekends, and market events as required.
  • NYC‑based, ready for in‑field work.
Nice to Have
  • Distributor or three‑tier experience.
  • Experience launching or scaling a beverage, spirits, or hospitality brand.
  • Strong existing book in neighborhoods such as SoHo, LES, Meatpacking, the Village, Williamsburg, Greenpoint, Bushwick, and other high‑volume on‑premise pockets.
  • Comfort selling both brand story and operational value: speed, consistency, margin, and ease for the bar team.
Compensation

$75,000 base salary plus uncapped commission. Expected first‑year on‑target earnings around $105,000 with upside for over‑performance. Earnings are based on reorders, not just new openings, to reward durable account building.
