Capital Introduction Manager
Location: New York, NY
Employment Type: Full-Time
Estimated Compensation: $140,000 – $185,000 total annual compensation (varies by employer)
Capital Introduction Managers facilitate introductions between investment managers and prospective investors by leveraging institutional networks, market insight, and relationship management expertise. The role blends capital markets knowledge, client advisory, and strategic relationship building to support fundraising and asset growth. These roles often involve close collaboration with portfolio managers, investor relations teams, prime brokerage, sales, and senior leadership.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain relationships with institutional investors, allocators, and family offices
- Introduce hedge funds and asset managers to relevant prospective investors
- Advise managers on fundraising strategy, investor positioning, and market trends
- Coordinate investor meetings, roadshows, conferences, and one‑on‑one introductions
- Maintain detailed records of investor interactions and capital introduction activity
- Collaborate with investment teams to understand strategies, performance, and differentiation
- Track capital raising progress, investor feedback, and pipeline metrics
- Prepare marketing materials, investor summaries, and tailored outreach content
- Ensure all capital introduction activities comply with regulatory and internal policies
- Monitor industry trends, allocator behavior, and fundraising conditions
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field
- Experience in capital introduction, prime brokerage, investor relations, or institutional sales
- Strong understanding of hedge fund strategies and institutional investor landscape
- Proven relationship management and networking skills
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Proficiency in Excel and CRM systems; familiarity with investor databases is a plus
- Ability to manage multiple relationships and initiatives simultaneously
- Strong interest in fundraising, capital markets, and allocator behavior
