Position: VP/SVP - Relationship Manager (Wirehouses & RIAs)
Location: New York

A $100 Billion asset manager is looking for a senior relationship professional to lead and expand partnerships with its largest institutional and intermediary distribution channels. Based in New York with a hybrid schedule, this high-impact role acts as the primary lead for premier wirehouses, large RIAs, and retirement platforms to drive long-term asset growth and retention. The ideal candidate brings a strategic mindset, active FINRA licenses, and a proven track record of managing multi-stakeholder relationships and complex fund solutions within the asset management industry.

Function
  • In Office Policy: 3 Days In the Office.
  • Serve as the senior relationship lead for major institutional and intermediary distribution partners (including RIAs, wirehouses, and insurance/retirement platforms), developing strategic account plans to drive long-term asset growth and retention.
  • Deliver high-touch, proactive client service from onboarding through ongoing support, leading business reviews, market updates, and the delivery of critical reporting, performance commentaries, and DDQ/RFP requests.
  • Partner closely with internal sales, product specialists, operations, legal, and investment teams to ensure seamless service delivery and alignment on distribution strategies.
  • Monitor industry trends across distribution channels and maintain rigorous data integrity within Salesforce to accurately track pipeline, client engagement, and new business opportunities.
Job Requirements
  • 8–12 years of client service or relationship management experience within asset management, backed by a Bachelor’s degree (MBA/CFA preferred) and active FINRA Series 7 and 63/65 or 66 licenses.
  • Deep knowledge of institutional investment products, US 40-Act fund structures (open/closed-end, ETFs), and major intermediary platforms, including wirehouses, RIAs, retirement platforms, and manager research gatekeepers.
  • Proven track record of managing complex, multi-stakeholder institutional relationships, navigating long sales cycles, and driving asset growth using strong negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Highly proficient in MS Office (Excel/PowerPoint) and CRM tools like Salesforce; based in the New York area with a hybrid office schedule (3 days/week) and flexibility for 10–15% regional travel.
