Job Description

Johnson & Johnson is recruiting for an Account Executive – Advanced Hemostasis and Healing (AHH), located in the New York, NY/NYP Columbia, NY territory.

Fuelled by innovation at the intersection of biology and technology, we are developing the next generation of smarter, less invasive, and more personalized treatments. Our Surgery team will deliver surgical technologies and solutions to surgeons and healthcare professionals around the world, helping to treat conditions such as obesity, cardiovascular disease, and cancer.

Account Executive – Advanced Hemostasis and Healing
  • Focus on growing our hemostasis and wound closure platforms.
  • Sell surgical solutions primarily in operating room settings to surgeons and hospital decision makers.
  • Be assigned a sales territory focusing on assigned physicians and hospital institutions.
  • Accountable to hit forecast targets in their assigned accounts/territory.
  • Set priorities and make sound business decisions based on assessment of sales opportunities within accounts.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Understand and demonstrate proper use of products to clinicians in the operating room environment.
  • Manage customer questions and objections consistent with product indications and sales training methodology.
  • Execute the selling cycle in a concise, professional, ethical, and compliant manner that drives results and leads customers to action.
  • Conduct sales presentations using current selling methods learned in sales training courses.
  • Analyze data, stay updated on market information, and perform business planning, including setting priorities and decisions based on sales opportunities.
  • Build excellent customer relations with key physicians, hospital personnel, and authorized distributors; conduct customer education seminars as appropriate.
  • Comply with standards for safe behavior and demonstrate product, procedure, and clinical knowledge.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 1+ years of relevant business experience in medical sales (medical device, pharmaceutical, biotechnology) or healthcare, demonstrating exceptional achievement of sales objectives.
  • A valid driver’s license issued in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong sales performance with high growth, results vs. plan, ability to target accounts and achieve results through daily action plans, and ability to collaborate with peers, marketing, strategic account managers, external distributors, and key opinion leaders.
  • Strong time management and planning skills.
  • Hospital-based pharmaceutical or medical device experience (operating room sales) and sales of products to a highly educated/high-profile customer base.
  • Experience in developing new, innovative markets.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Team oriented.
