About The Role

  • You will manage the strategic development of Key Retailers (Mass, Drug, Grocery, Discount Channels) and ensure sales targets are met.
  • You will report to the Senior Manager of Key Account Sales.
  • This is a hybrid role: three days onsite (Wednesday and Thursday mandatory; the third day may be of your choice).
  • Traveling by car will be involved. Mileage reimbursement will be provided – no overnight travel.
  • Candidate must have their own mode of transportation.
  • The position involves overseeing the strategic growth of major retailers such as those found in the Mass, Drug, Grocery, and Discount Channels, with the aim of meeting sales targets.
  • You should have relevant experience in managing retail sales, specifically working with major pharmacies like CVS and Walgreens, and grocery stores selling shampoo products.
  • We are looking for a junior to mid‑level individual with a proven track record as a Key Account Manager (not an Account Executive).
  • Experience handling key accounts at CVS, Food Stores, or Drug Stores is required.
Roles & Responsibilities
  • Represent the LG H&H portfolio of beauty brands at Key Retailers (Mass, Drug, Grocery, Discount Channels).
  • Deliver annual volume, trade spend and profit plan.
  • Conduct ongoing analysis and review of business trends to identify gaps for planning and execution.
  • Implement the sales strategies per customer in coordination with the sales channel strategy.
  • Plan and implement the annual appraisals in coordination with management.
  • Negotiate terms and conditions and implement the results.
  • Make regular headquarters buyer calls, identify customer needs/priorities and create fact‑based selling presentations.
  • Maintain a strategic product mix through SKU optimization – both new item sell‑in and SKU reduction.
  • Participate in customer payment processing, including financial contracts, performance and collection.
  • Ensure customer profitability.
Minimum Qualifications
  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree.
  • 3+ years of experience in B2B sales or specialty beauty retailers & department stores sales, preferably in the beauty industry.
  • The ability to travel by car or airplane as needed, which may include overnight and/or weekend travel.
  • Excellent interpersonal, competitive selling technique, business acumen and organizational skills.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of sales applications and principles.
  • Ability to lift up to thirty (30) lbs. periodically, sit at a desk for up to two hours, climb stairs, and walk quickly from place to place.
  • Experience documenting sales awards and achievements.
  • Prior management development training and career development.
