Senior Account Executive – Healthcare & Medical Advertising

Location: New York, NY (Hybrid)

Compensation: Competitive Base Salary + Quarterly Bonus

We are currently partnering with a leading global organization operating at the intersection of healthcare, medical communications, and scientific publishing to recruit a Senior Account Executive for their growing commercial team.

Our client works with pharmaceutical companies, healthcare agencies, and life sciences organizations to deliver innovative advertising, content, and engagement solutions that connect healthcare professionals with trusted scientific and medical information.

The Role

As a Senior Account Executive, you will be responsible for driving advertising and commercial partnership revenue across a portfolio of highly regarded clinical and medical publications and digital platforms.

Working closely with leadership and cross-functional teams, you will develop strategic relationships with healthcare and pharmaceutical clients, identify new business opportunities, and deliver consultative advertising solutions that support client objectives.

This position offers a hybrid working model based in New York.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive advertising and sponsorship revenue across print, digital, and content-based marketing solutions.
  • Develop and execute territory growth plans to achieve revenue targets.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with pharmaceutical companies, healthcare agencies, and other key industry stakeholders.
  • Identify, prospect, and develop new business opportunities within assigned accounts and territories.
  • Conduct regular client meetings, presentations, and sales calls to understand customer needs and position tailored solutions.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop creative and effective commercial proposals.
  • Maintain a strong presence within the healthcare and medical communications marketplace.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, competitive activity, and emerging opportunities to support business growth.
  • Represent the organization at conferences, industry events, and client meetings.
  • Accurately manage pipeline activity, forecasting, and account information through CRM systems.
Required Experience
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in sales, business development, media sales, advertising sales, or account management.
  • Proven ability to build and grow client relationships while achieving revenue targets.
  • Strong business development skills with a proactive, results-oriented approach.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to understand complex customer needs and translate them into commercial solutions.
  • Experience using CRM platforms such as Salesforce.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience selling into pharmaceutical, healthcare, medical communications, or life sciences sectors.
  • Experience working with healthcare agencies or pharmaceutical marketing teams.
  • Background in solution-based or consultative sales environments.
  • Familiarity with lead generation and high-volume business development activities.
  • Experience delivering presentations to both individual stakeholders and larger groups.
  • Knowledge of business development tools such as Linked In Sales Navigator, Zoom Info, or similar platforms.
