Universal Processing (Let’s Go uP) is a minority‑owned fintech that serves small and medium‑sized businesses with payment solutions. We are looking for a Merchant Consultant who is fluent in Chinese, Vietnamese, or Spanish and eager to serve our diverse client base.
Role SummaryThe Merchant Consultant serves as the first point of contact to our clients, acting as brand ambassador by introducing business solutions. The role is goal‑driven, resilient, and people oriented. This is an exempt sales position.
Compensation & BenefitsMonthly salary: $4,500 during the probationary period, increasing to $5,000 after successful completion. Uncapped commission, generous bonuses, medical, vision, dental coverage, generous PTO, and 401(k).
Responsibilities- Generate leads, cold‑call prospects, and maintain a pipeline.
- Conduct in‑person meetings to determine customer needs and present customized payment, merchant financing, and marketing solutions.
- Perform pricing analysis using client payment processing statements and prepare proposals.
- Follow up with potential merchants on product features, benefits, and terms.
- Close sales in a timely and effective manner.
- Identify and develop new lead sources.
- Develop new sales opportunities within the existing client base.
- Build and maintain relationships with referrals and affiliates.
- Create and develop marketing programs to increase sales.
- Authorized to work in the US; E‑Verify employer.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Mandarin‑Chinese, Vietnamese, or Spanish; reading and writing proficiency required.
- High school diploma or equivalent;
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Business Administration, Communications, Finance, or related field preferred. - 2–3 years sales and/or customer service experience.
- Prior experience in the merchant service industry is an asset.
- Strong communication, critical thinking, detail‑oriented, and analytical skills.
- Self‑motivated, results‑driven, able to work independently.
