Role Description

The Senior Sales Executive is a full-time, on-site role based in the New York City. This role is responsible for driving revenue growth by managing key retail and wholesale accounts, developing new business opportunities, and expanding market share for Bernardo cross selling amongst both outerwear & sportswear. Day-to-day responsibilities include leading client presentations, negotiating pricing and terms, forecasting sales, and collaborating closely with merchandising, design, and production teams to align product offerings with customer needs.

The Senior Sales Executive will analyze sales performance data, prepare regular reports, maintain strong relationships with existing partners, and proactively identify emerging trends and opportunities. This role will be a direct report to the VP of Sales.

Qualifications
  • Proven 10+ years’ experience in fashion or apparel sales, with a focus on outerwear and/or sportswear including account management and business development.
  • Strong skills in client relationship management, negotiation, and contract discussions, with the ability to secure and grow key retail and wholesale partnerships.
  • Ability to analyze sales data, create forecasts, and develop strategic sales plans aligned with company revenue and growth objectives.
  • Collaborative mindset with experience working cross-functionally with merchandising, design, production, and marketing teams.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including confident presentation abilities for buyer meetings and industry events.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, seasonal, and trend-driven environment, with strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Knowledge of the North American fashion retail landscape, including department stores, mid-tier chains, specialty retailers, and e-commerce channels.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Fashion Merchandising, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Proficiency with CRM tools and commonly used office software (e.g., spreadsheets, presentation applications) to manage pipelines and reporting.
  • Proficiency in Excel, retail math and managing margin expectations.
  • Willingness to travel as needed for client meetings, market appointments etc.
  • Salary range $150k-$165K plus commission
