Overview

Our client, a leading player in the ocean freight sector, is seeking a Transatlantic Route Development Manager to drive business development and expand the trade lane between Europe and the United States. This role is North East based: NY, Boston, NJ preferred.

Responsibilities
  • Drive business development for the Transatlantic Trade Lane, identifying and securing new clients both locally and internationally.
  • Develop and implement trade lane strategies, collaborating with internal sales teams and stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key country partners and industry stakeholders.
  • Utilize CRM tools to track leads, manage client pipelines, and convert opportunities into business growth.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify new business opportunities.
  • Engage in regular client interactions, providing insights into trade lane trends and solutions.
  • Cross-sell additional ocean freight services, including LCL (less-than-container load) and specialized container solutions.
  • Travel internationally and domestically to strengthen market presence and drive sales.

Ensure compliance with trade regulations and company logistics standards

Qualifications / Ideal Candidate Profile
  • 3+ years of sales experience in ocean freight and freight forwarding.
  • Strong knowledge of Transatlantic trade lanes, with existing industry connections.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute business development strategies in global logistics.
  • Experience working with CRM systems and internal sales tools.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills.
  • Ability to work across multiple cultures and travel internationally as needed.
