Turn Tastings into Sales at Lake George’s #1 Attraction

Adirondack Winery’s Lake George Tasting Room is one of the busiest, most exciting destinations in the region, and we are hiring team members who can keep up with the pace and turn great experiences into strong sales.

This is not a slow, traditional service role.

We serve a high volume of guests every day. You will often be engaging multiple groups cess in this role means turning tastings into bottle sales, case purchases, and Wine Club signups.

If you thrive in a fast‑paced environment, enjoy interacting with people, and know how to confidently guide someone from “just looking” to “I’ll take a case,” you will do very well here.

• $16/hour base + tips (average $10–$12/hour additional)

You are not just pouring wine. You are guiding the guest experience and influencing purchasing decisions.

• Lead wine tastings for multiple guests and groups simultaneously
• Recommend wines, ciders, and retail items
• Convert tastings into bottle, case, and club sales
• Greet guests and help attract walk‑in traffic (including host stand shifts)
• Serve light offerings such as wine, cider, and Happy Snacker plates on the patio
• Stock wine, merchandise, and maintain the tasting room
• Wash glassware and support general operations

You will succeed in this role if you:

• Are outgoing and comfortable engaging with guests
• Have retail or sales experience (preferred)
• Are confident making recommendations and guiding purchases
• Can manage multiple conversations at once
• Enjoy working in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment
• Take pride in creating memorable guest experiences

• You prefer a slow‑paced or low‑interaction environment
• You are uncomfortable recommending or selling products
• You struggle to maintain energy in a busy setting

• Must be 21+
• Weekend and peak summer availability required
• Reliable transportation to Lake George
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 35 lbs

You will meet guests from all over the country and be part of their vacation experience. Every day is different, and strong performers have the opportunity to earn great tips while building valuable sales and customer service skills.
