Job Description & How to Apply Below
Location: New York

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy for the Taft-Hartley market — owning pipeline generation, deal progression, and booking target from prospecting through close, while navigating the unique governance structures of multi-employer health & welfare funds.
  • Build and deepen a robust network of relationships with key labor stakeholders — fund administrators, union trustees, benefits consultants, and brokers — serving as a trusted advisor who understands the collective bargaining landscape and can communicate Maven's clinical and financial value at every level.
  • Collaborate closely with Client Success, Marketing, and Product to surface market feedback, support RFP/RFI responses, refine Maven's labor positioning, and ensure seamless handoffs from sale to implementation.
  • Represent Maven at key labor industry conferences, trade shows, and fund events to build brand awareness and source new opportunities in the segment.
  • Be a thought leader and champion for the labor market internally, sharing intelligence from the field to help Maven continuously sharpen its value proposition and go-to-market approach.
Requirements
  • 6+ years of experience in labor healthcare sales or consulting, with a demonstrated track record of closing large, complex contracts within the collectively bargained marketplace and consistently exceeding quota.
  • Deep subject matter expertise in the Taft-Hartley market — including health & welfare fund operations, collective bargaining strategy, the trustee decision-making process, and ERISA — paired with a strong existing network of fund administrators, consultants, and channel partners.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to tailor complex clinical and financial narratives for a range of audiences — from trustees and fund administrators to benefits consultants.
  • A growth mindset and entrepreneurial drive — you thrive in fast-paced environments, are energized by building in a nascent market segment, and are comfortable with ambiguity and travel (approximately 50%).
  • Comfort with data and analytics, with the ability to interpret and discuss performance metrics and financial models fluently in conversations with stakeholders across all levels of understanding.
