About the Role
Our Business Intelligence team is seeking an Account Manager to work customers and prospects across our Risk and Compliance, Factiva, and Newswires solution lines.
Responsibilities- Provide a high level of account management service, building excellent customer relationships, understanding our customers' businesses, resolving issues in a timely manner, and understanding competitor solutions the customer is using and the customer's current and developing needs.
- Generate new streams of revenue through sales of products and services which address prospects business needs.
- Identify opportunities for increasing revenue within the account territory via up‑selling and cross‑selling.
- Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction through regular communication and build solid working relationships with each customer.
- Develop and execute plans to manage strategic account renewals.
- Ensure appropriate levels of customer training and awareness are provided by partnering with the Customer Engagement team.
- Clearly express the value proposition and benefits of the Dow Jones products and solutions to specific sectors and markets, and use this knowledge to increase the value and adoption of our solutions by our customers.
- Manage sales forecast and pipeline to ensure clear reporting of forthcoming renewals, additional sales opportunities, and associated revenue and timescales.
- 3+ years sales experience and a proven track record of success in selling solutions to corporate or financial customers.
- Strong ability to work well in cross‑functional and geographically dispersed teams, being highly self‑motivated and able to work independently when required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to articulate Dow Jones value proposition clearly.
- Strong results orientation, with commitment and drive to achieve new business goals in a complex business environment.
- Strong business acumen and awareness to help build credibility with the customer, spot potential opportunities within a peer group or industry sector, and express the benefits of Dow Jones in an appropriate business context.
- Strong time‑management skills, able to manage tasks in a fast‑paced environment and track progress against activity goals.
- Experience working with or within Risk & Compliance functions is an advantage.
- Bachelor’s degree level education.
